Research Interest: Molecular Ecology and Evolution
Haoran is an undergraduate student in School of Life Sciences, Peking University since 2012. He is interested in the phylogeny and population genetics of vertebrates. Together with collaborators he has completed a project on the genetic ancestry of the extinct Javan and Balinese tigers using ancient DNA approaches on historic museum specimens. At the lab he is also involved in several projects on resolving the genetic mechanisms of mammal coat color.
